So is the 68 cpm what you make because you're a trainer? If so, what are solos getting paid these days? When I started there in 2010 I made 29 cpm right out of CDL school and actually did ok. I ran hellified miles.

idk you start between 59 and 64 and it goes up, but cpm doesnt matter imo its what you bring in per week on average, if you drive alot you can make SOME money.

Oh I agree cpm is definitely overrated. At least if they're starting you out at 59 cpm, it's competitive in that regard. They had so much freight back in the day, I wonder if it's remained the same.

I went there one time, on a load that actually delivered in Stockton. Every other time I went to California, it was a load dropping in the LA area.

Th cutie at the fuel desk sold those little white 'stay awake' pills, under the radar of course. The XpressCo drivers brought bags of those back to Nashville and many went to the girls in the office. I wasn't involved in that and also didn't care what others were doing.
One of the Nashville drivers told the fuel desk girl in Stockton that he was in love with her and wants to marry her. She fell for it. What he didn't tell her is that he was married with children. One day a knock on the door, in Nashville, and there stood the fuel desk girl from Stockton. He panicked and rushed her to his car and went somewhere to talk it out. She handed him a package that had $40G in cash. She stole it from the truckstop. The truck driver was backed into a corner and in a panic. Using his good judgement, he stuffed $10G or so into his pocket, then called the police. She was arrested and sent back to California with what was left with the money. He thought he was a cool cat with all that free money. To my knowledge, she didn't know he took a bunch of the money and didn't report it to the police.
After that, the rest of the drivers shunned him as if he had the plague. He was hated after doing that to her.

You first have to know where you are to go where you want to, or at least in the general direction. Some people go through life asleep.
