He has an interesting concept. If anyone goes out and buys a truck they “deserve” $150 an hour.
May 1 they will be in DC begging the government to help. I wonder what their stance will be when the speed limiter proposal comes out? I’m guessing then it will be back to the government needs to stay out of trucking.
Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

What's up with all these trucks with temp plates? It seems I see about 20 a week.
D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
it’s definitely a issue. I wonder that myself. That and almost every truck, a big majority is IL base plated. There is so many IL carriers. If you are on the east coast and go somewhere to load you can bet money a IL carrier will be there loading with you.D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

BRO'S
The moon is a crash into The Flying J.Siinman Thanks this. -
Many companies have their trucks base plated in Illinois. I think Landstar is one even though they are out of Florida. Must be cheaper for them.Siinman and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

They are fake probably. I was explained how this scam works, but I forgot the details by now. Basically you can reprint them every month and never register a truck. It only works with IL temps, guys who were doing that were not even living in there. They were here in Michigan.
They don't pay insurance also.
Basically the MC can have 2 trucks registered and insured and like 5 others running on temps with no insurance.
Oh and their electronic logs get fixed in overseas call centers. You call there, tell them what's need to be changed and get going.
It's so easy to create an ELD app and get it approved, so tons people are doing it. There are call centers in Eastern Europe, India, Mexico, South America. Probably half of Chicago spot market companies run with those "fixable" elogsNoBigHurry, Siinman, 77fib77 and 7 others Thank this. -
isnt life grand? You get to choose which end the shaft is inserted.

Trucks are all Illinois, trailers are Indiana. Or it may be the other way around.
