I have a 2000 International with an Eaton Fuller Super 10 transmission. The other day the shifter came out of the shifter seat when shifting into 7th gear. I couldn’t get It into any gear after that. I took the shift tower out and set it back in place. Drove fine until 7th gear and it fell out again. There’s no grinding and no signs of wear on the shifter or its seat. It just turned 200k miles and drives great otherwise.

Probably worn out shift forks in the transmission if the shift tower is fine.

Wore out at 200,000 miles? You sure that odometer hadn’t rolled over a time or two. We have Super 10’s with over a million on the clicker, and the shifters/towers are fine.

Yes those are the actual miles. It looks and drives like a brand new truck until this happened.

I’m going to get a new shifter in the morning and start there. It doesn’t look worn but maybe it is. Sure would be nice if that’s the case. Wish me luck.

Rebuilt mine a few weeks back. The o ring on top of the tower ball is missing. Pushing the tower up. Causes to come out usually in high gears. 20230409_113641.jpg 20230409_113635.jpg 20230409_113905.jpg 20230409_113942.jpg 20230409_114249.jpg 20230409_114417.jpg 20230409_114448.jpg 20230409_114537.jpg

Nice catch. It is cracked. I had to swap trannys in Nebraska a year ago, and it was cracked then.

Had no choice but run it then. A year later and it never leaked. When I rebuilt it you could see the crack doesn't go below the o ring seat, you can see it in the first pic.

No leaks before i rebuilt it and my o ring was gone. Not worried about it.
