I don't like Karens or people telling me what I can or can't do on my property (its bad enough dealing with the municipality).

That post triggered my mind. My old Navy shipmate lives in a clothing optional community in Land 0' Lakes Florida.
One time I was talking to him on the phone and heard some strange metallic sound and he screamed. I asked him what happened and he said he banged his face into the venetian blinds. Must have been bird watching.

Thats my goal some day, house surrounded by enough of my own land i can go out and do something in the yard barea$$ if i wanted. Mow the lawn at midnight if its convenient and not worry about bothering any neighbors with the noise. Have enough woods for some atv trails and cut wood for winter heating without having to search for it.

Nope. Never understood the attraction to HOA's. I am not going to go into 6 figures of debt to have someone tell me what I can or can not do to it. If I wanted a land lord I would have stayed in an apartment.
