And let's not forget the ABS sticker or ABS on the light. My bottom rails are polished on my trailer and I no longer had the ABS sticker, and got written up for it in Virginia....

Can someone clarify the ‘correct way to use a ratchet winch’, I have never heard of such a thing nor have had any issues, maybe I am doing it right, maybe I am doing it wrong.

 

That's what happens when you've been retired for to many years. You loose touch with reality lol

 

#1 recommendation, get it fixed ASAP if you don't know how to fix it yourself.

If you had been in an accent, especially if fatality and they found that your equipment was being operated with malfunctioning ABS you would have significant culpability
