Reminds me of a similar incident that happened not far from where I lived when I still lived in the big city. He literally drove right up the side of the overpass concrete wall, which can be seen as the dark mark on the concrete wall, and there was dirt and truck parts debris on that overpass road. When there's a tarp over what's left of the cab, you know it's not good.
Rumour was he was double shifting the truck, meaning driving it both day and night. If you're tired, either pull over or stay home!
Val_Caldera, Graham Cracker, mjd4277 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I refused an all-nighter, this week, because I know my limits. Some are cut out for night driving. I’m not.
bzinger, Val_Caldera, The Green Mountain and 5 others Thank this. -
Similar accident happened a few years ago on I-55 at the Fortification Street bridge in Jackson,Mississippi. Driver hit it with such force that the Volvo was almost sheared in half!

This is exactly the type of accident that people will point to when looking to ban trucks that don't have automatic braking, lane departure warning, etc systems
bzinger and Val_Caldera Thank this. -
Watching the drunk plow thru a handful of traffic barrels because you were quick enough to see what the possible scenario was. Bonus: checking out his front end in the mirror as you drive by after he pulled over to do the same.
Or the character turning around on the exit ramp to get back on the highway.
Someone who used the center cut-thru and got smoked by the only other vehicle on the highway.Val_Caldera Thanks this.
