Waiting on New Trucks thread.

Had one driver that would spend 45 minutes or more going over truck and trailer, safety vest on, check every tire pressure(before PSI).

 

I would rather have that guy than someone not doing it. 45 minutes is a little much but I love they care enough to do the job right. If on a regular schedule that would be perfect. Tight schedule might be an issue but would do everything I could to keep a driver like that.

 

He was a lot of fun. Came from a large carrier that micro managed. He would negotiate 50 miles out of route to visit someone or a couple of extra days off (which he could have did anyway) by driving slower, sweat or freeze without idleing, and his MPG way up. He never did figure out that I was just joking on the negotiation. Bought his own truck, own authority and is still in business.

 

Ha Ha that is pretty funny. Could see someone like that not getting it was for fun. People like that should do good in a market like this right.

The only thing I like about volvo are the bunks with bottom desk setup, that would be amazing to game on!

 

Lol I never even gave that a thought tbh. I’m to the point where I hate being out over the weekend unless I’m working through it. I’d get stir crazy if I had enough time to game in the truck.
