Pick-2024 KW, Volvo, Frlnr, or Intern which do you pick and why?

None of the above. I will stay in my Western Star thank you. Not a piece of plastic in it. No squeaks...

82" bunk. Me and my 2 dogs fit in it just fine...

 

I'm pretty sure there'll be some plastic in there, unless you're operating something from the 1940's...

 

Volvo or the new WS 57X, either spec’d like the 9+mpg guys.

 

Eaton has the UltraShift. The same trans (same gears and guts) as the legendary 18 speed manual but a computer makes the shifts.

 

Not near as good as the I-Shift. Volvo have perfected the integration game.

 

Buy the truck that has the best dealer support in your area. You're gonna need the service dept, and a shatty one could cost you a fortune

 

Oh man, I’m with you on the squeaking! I’m in a 2019 International POS and it squeaks like a MOFO! I HATE squeaks! My buddy drove a Western Star and he loved it.

 

To me, a truck is a tool. So whatever tool that is needed for that job, I’ll use. And as a company driver, I’ll drive whatever they give me as long as it’s safe.

But I realize I am abnormal there… most drivers have a favorite. I think most modern trucks are basically the same so I don’t care..

 

Owner op? I get a freightliner, less down time due to parts availability.

company rig? Give me a Volvo- comfort and turning radius

 

Company driver, volvo. Comfortable and roomy. To buy and own, Kenworth. More reliable than the others but cheaper parts than the peterbilt.
