A: Get a job with a truly good company.

If/when you stop "dumpster diving" with/for 1099 jobs...& go for a W-2 gig with companies that have a decent track record--then things should improve for you.

Suggestion: If you don't already have them -- pick up those CDL endorsements -- tanker, hazmat, & doubles/triples. Also: if you can get it -- a TWIC card helps, too.

Those endorsements get you to specialized freight.
