How do you make trucking enjoyable?

I’ve been in the industry for 20 years so “I’ve survived” and I’d complain too, smoking isn’t for everyone and those of us that don’t smoke don’t want to smell it in our trucks. You smoking doesn’t make you a bad guy, but your childish reactions to that driver speaking up about it does. C’mon man, be a better human that, the world #### sure needs more of it these days. They aren't 'your' trucks you're driving. Those are company trucks that I'm paid to drive also.

And I get it. You don't want a smoker in the cab. Fine. We are absolute trash.

Then drive it yourself the next time.

 

As I was told a week or so ago on here, we’ll just have to agree to disagree, definitely going that route on this one.

 

Teamsters have literally been the biggest babies that I've ever dealt with...

I split up their trains. Then I reworked their damaged goods on the docks. Then I delivered their damaged goods into the most hellish holes known to man.

Then I filled up their trailers with hellish goods from hellish customers.

Then I stack those trailers high & heavy with freight.

Then I pin up another set of trailers for the highway guys, since they most likely wouldn't know how to pin up an A-Train.

I smoke whenever, and wherever I want...

 

Ever consider a career change? Forest fire look-out, lighthouse keeper, something where you could be all by yourself and not have to put up with everybody else on the planet?

 

I moved onto gravel hauling, which is a natural fit for me. That way my Teamster 'Brothers and Sisters' don't have to worry about my smoking ever again.
