Even worse, they start running for shady companies and don't know they're hauling with zero insurance. The trick they use is enclosed trailers. Cops and DOT don't want to bother with enclosed so they let them slide. Huge mistake. This is why I got out of car hauling. CD doesn't check for insurance, and only savvy shippers bother to ask nowadays. This is another reason rates are depressed. Blame CD and lazy state officials.

While I agree. The US essentially has an open border policy & specific states (19) issue drivers licenses while allowing them to purchase insurance.

That aside. I met plenty that were born here pulling all of the things that you mentioned in your first post. The greater issues is that integrity is a lost or forgotten art.

No need to drive all the way back to Dallas because you can't find a spot in Houston. There is plenty of parking 10-20 miles east of Houston on interstate 10.

Is it a matter of simple laziness, or actual inexperience-based ignorance with this bunch?

I’ve been noticing a lot more car haulers riding around with the upper row full and still as high as when they originally loaded it. Is there a reason for this that we laymen don’t know about? To me it just defies all logic to empty the bottom row and not lower the top afterwards to get the center of gravity down.

Some of the former, but probably more of the latter. Truckload isn't the only segment with a bunch of unqualified trainers and drivers.

I don't come all the way down, but only to keep the post angles from being too flat. Let me find my tiktok that explains it...

Here’s another fine example of just missing those important little things like STRAPPING DOWN YOUR LOAD!

I heard this happen and then when I figured out what happened I was like WTF? I feel bad for him. But this is die to a lack of experience and forgetting to check your load.

Did he come in off the road like this or did this happen in a loading yard before hitting the road?

In the past few weeks I have seen a lot of brand new 350/Kaufmann setups with new 4,xxx,xxx DOT numbers. Paper info sheet taped to the side.
