I usually book all my loads in advance for the week but I thought I might have to make an audible this afternoon (luckily I didn't have to) and looked to see what was out on the boards tomorrow in the reefer land in MN/WI/IA and MY GOD I need to take a bath after looking at those rates. We keep on having lower lows but the bottom has to be pretty close.

What makes you think the bottom is close? We are not done with the banks yet. A lot of tech layoffs this year.

I think it depends on what your context of close is. I think late Q3 we will see a pick-up but if I knew for certain I wouldn't be posting to a trucking message board. I'm purely basing it on capacity leaving the market...no economic driver. The cure for low rates is low rates.

I think rates will bottom, but they might not raise much. Just stay flat. There is a point where companies can't run. Yeah I obviously don't know for sure either. I'm thinking we will.get into a real recession and it will take a while for things to adjust.

My first trucking job (flatbed) was with a Ukrainian outfit out of Chicago driving a white Volvo. Things were going good at first until they switched ELD apps. Then my Ukraine based dispatcher started calling me up saying they corrected my Log and cancel my 34 and get rolling. Always a call and never a text. Much to my chagrin I did it a hand full of times before turning in truck and walking away.

    Siinman Thanks this.
