Will dealers remove Bendix collision/lane departure/wingman systems?

I don't believe the insurance companies are aware of which trucks have it just by VIN.

I needed to provide a list to the insurance companies of the trucks that had it. Then the insurance company verifies the system is installed in the truck.

For a MASSIVE $3 week discount per truck.

 

Yeah, that's why my truck kept it's backup alarm. Deactivate safety #### and watch the lawyers circle.

 

His truck has been down for a month for a wiring harnesses. 2015 I believe

 

Just ordered the truck from the factory without the wing man radar system

 

I believe if you order the truck you can get it without the radar system I see brand new trucks come through the shop that do not have that system on it

 

Do you know of anybody in Eastern Tennessee area that can delete the Bendix wingman? Or at least install off switch. I want to get rid of the adaptive cruise and either turn off the collision system or tune it down to 5 ft It's almost caused me to crash twice now because of a car criss-crossing in front of me

 

Peterbilt told me they could do it off the books. Go in a night and talk to a mechanic.

 

But #### happens.

 

Call the dealers in that area and ask.
