    2014 isx 450 hp runs rough in the low side sounds like a top end knock or ping idles fine runs pretty fair in the big hole just seems to struggle getting up to speed. no codes

    Hours/ miles?

    Pull the valve cover and inspect cam and followers for wear. While you’re in there check and set the overhead.

    It is most likely noisy for a reason.

    . These Cummins have a hose that is below the intake it is about 6 inches long and curved about 1 inch in diameter. I had one that blew and the air bounces off the engine and sounds like a rod knocking. Once the truck reached top gear the noise subsided. Sounds almost identical to your problem. Good Luck.

    motors 490 on miles not using any oil sounds fine other than this issue.
