This Dec when it was -35, the muffler inlet snapped on our 2500hd.
Instead of fixing myself I ran it thru the sherwood park muffler shop. Asked for something not too loud...
They put on a flo pro can, which doesn't contain much, and it drones so bad I doubt it will.be on much longer.
I must be gettin old.

 

6.0? Factory y pipe or did it use the muffler?

The 6.0 has nearly identical exhaust tones from each bank of the engine. Put a small resonator on one bank before going into a larger case muffler and that will alter it enough to keep the drone down. At least that's what Flowmaster told us years ago.

Stock y pipe, converters and tailpipe.
I used to run flowmaster super 44s and it was nice.
My last older 6.0 ended up with headers when a manifold cracked and it was quieter with this with no drone.
Getting a kit for a 20 year old pickup in canuckistan is the issue. And it was -35 out when it failed.. shop has no heat..
