I've got a 1978 White Road Boss 2. The flashers and turn signals quit working. I'm not getting power to the turn signal switch. Ive tested all fuses and breakers. I can't located the flasher relay. Does any one know where it should be located? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

The flasher relay used to be the small box just below the actual handle on left under the wheel which should be what works the whole thing. there is a slide switch you would pull for the 4 ways in those days.

I believe the switch and 4ways on the steering column is a universal turn signal switch that has been replaced in the past by a previous owner. Do the universal turn signal/4way hazard switch's have a built in flasher relay?

I believe it did. Big enough for it. Anything else is buried in cobwebs of my brain.

I do not thank so but I have seen that on a military truck. Try looking behind the kick panel on the left side of the clutch.

I've got a 79 Road Boss II as well. The flasher fell out onto the floor today on a corrugated roadway I was trying to gently drive on. It's a 2 prong flasher. I can't for the life of me find where it plugs back into...is it in behind the black panel left of the clutch? I can't see how it coulda come out of there in the first place though. Stumped.

Seems to me some of them just hung from two wires. Kind of up above the clutch pedal. Probably used to plug into something like X1Heavy said.

I looked hard...pulled the right side (speedometer) dash panel enough to look around underneath it, but didn't see any 2 prong plugs that matched the flasher. It's obviously there somewhere, but man is it tight quarters for a man's hands up in there.

Solved my mystery. My truck was one of the first to have that modular power distribution box on the clutch side panel. After a series of gymnastics and contortions I found that the flasher plugs directly into the breaker panel out behind the breakers where I kept overlooking it.
