After 28 years with ho wolding i found my self in the hospital with multiple health issues, mostley due to the sress (having the saftey dept saying these loads must be run stricly legal and to make sure we're going to watch your every move move on the qualcom, while the dispatchers and the wolding family were saying ya you got to run it legal, but just have it there in the morning. After i got out of the hospital was terminated by vice president Kathy K because of my medical conditions although my doctors cleared me to go back to work. They owed me 5 weeks of vacation pay but wouldn't pay, said their policy was i'd have to come back to work for a day to be eligble although my anniversity day had come and gone. So all you drivers out there beware, if you are a newbe starting out, go for it, they aren't a bad company to get some experience, but watch your own backside, because when the chips are down, it ain't the woldings who will be watching it, if it might cost them money it's see ya later, so just beware

A driver is only worth what he is able to do right now, not what he has done in the past. You get sick and cost them money, you're gone.

I've seen many drivers ruin their health for a company they thought respected them. Funny thing, when they died, someone else was hauling their freight that same day. I will do my job, but I'm not killing myself for anyones freight.

I watched a guy work at one job all day, then run shuttle at night. He died of a heart attack in the shower getting ready for the driving job. He thought he was making a lot of money to retire on. He retired, but not the way he expected.

Just remember, a driver is a tool, just like the truck is. When the risk and expense are too much, both are traded for a better model.

I am sure Vice President Kathy K is better at spending this drivers money then he would be and I am sure HO Wolding knows better that this driver is useless dead weight because he worked too hard for those 28 years. Such a shame they didn't fire him sooner than this so they could be a better company for it.

I'm 6'3" and have no issues with a "mid-roof" truck. It's close, but still high enough for me to stand up and move around.

A flat top truck is one where the roof is about even with the top of the door. Any Wolding truck I seen was a raised roof or "mid-roof" truck.

Personally, I could care less. If there is a bunk for me, room for my clothes and some food, I'm a happy camper.

Now, I've been looking at Wolding ONLY because they have a terminal in SC 10 miles from my house. I like the pay package for my amount of experience and as long as I do 2000 miles a week or better, I can survive without asking my wife to get a job.

Well, that is if I can pull myself away from PAM. I'm at the point that I'm going to get 3 weeks paid vacation plus I'm a trainer, so I earn an extra week a year (making it four total) with a flat vacation pay of 1,000.00 (for the trainer bonus week).

But, once that third week is earned and used, I'm looking for something to get me home more often. Time to spend more time with the wife and kids. And I'm willing to lose some pay to do so.

when I graduated from "driving school" 9 years ago I had a pre-hire through H.O.Wolding...they had a car rented for me to go out there and everything, but I got a local job as a fork lift driver that evolved into a driving job for me instead...recently I've seen their trucks going down the road and one day had to wonder what could have been, then I talked to a couple of their drivers and one guy liked them and the other said they weren't to bad,but he was looking for something else...any job out there is going to have a certain amount of B.S. that goes along with it.

Although the original post is 5 years old, every Wolding truck i have seen in the last 14 years of driving in wisconsin is a piece of #### ! Nothing like running the new modern Cast iron spoked wheels on their trucks.

In New England, All the Wolding trucks I see are small flat top sleepers, short wheelbase tractors hauling mostly HEAVY Poland Springs Water Loads. Most are junk as far as I see.Do they have full condo's ? Or only trainers get the good trucks.
Come on, Spoke Wheels in 2010????
