Freedom is a multi-edged sword.

Every side believes that they are fighting for their freedom.
They believe they are killing others, for their freedom.

Free to do as they wish, and get rid of anyone wanting to do things a different way.


The whole point of any war, of any law or rule - is to deprive one of some freedom.



Don't glorify freedom, because total freedom means total anarchy.

Everything that is a gaudy red, white, and blue is 50% off! Why isn't this tasteless crap ever called out?

 

Memorial Day to me means the unofficial start of BBQ Season.

 

That lower picture is by far, THE most powerful image I have ever seen, Vietnam being "my war". Never served, but knew plenty that did. Seems paltry, a simple thank you compared to what they went through is enough, but amazingly, it is. On another site that features classic cars, a WW2 military Jeep came up. Naturally, I praised the little bugger for saving our fathers hides, some PUNK, had the audacity to say, "oh, who cares about your old war, go back to Archie Bunker reruns,,,, I was flabbergasted someone would say that. My old man slogged through the trenches of France, or so it was told, so that punk can say stuff like that? A special thanks to REO for the post, truckers , I feel, are the last REAL Americans, and like an American, proud to have been one. Amen!
