I’ve heard that a couple of times already. The funny part is, their overpriced truck is still for sale. Oh well. Still on the hunt, but I’ve got nothing but time.

Time is in your favor, they'll have to choose between paying the mortgage or taking the "lowball" offer.Rideandrepair and Vampire Thank this.

If it makes you feel any better, we have a similar situation in the UK - for what seems like year - no new trucks available for months (therefore no real discounts) and used prices through the roof.
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Most don’t feel better about the purposeful destruction of Liberty and free markets no matter what side of the pond you are on.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Nicely kept and rebuilt old iron will still bring a good buck to the right buyer who doesn't want to deal with a bunch of new truck headaches. You'll always have the turd flippers trying to get top dollar for junk also. The powers to be see how easy it is now to create some kind of crisis to inflate the price of something or another and will continue to do so. The days when things made sense are long gone.
D.Tibbitt and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
I’m not greedy. I’ll take $89,500. Lol. Prices be crazy. Not for long.

Same here..18-24 Month wait on all New ones ..I've seen 2 yr old Trucks bring more than New Price at Auctions..
Trailers are Worse.. Minimum 2 yr wait !!Rideandrepair, Siinman and Vampire Thank this. -
I just found a 99 Volvo 630 sitting at a local farm for $10k. N14 Cummins, 13 speed and supposedly only 475k miles. Toying with the idea of buying it
Rideandrepair, Siinman and Vampire Thank this. -
Less than 1/2 million miles on a 24 year old truck .. Just woundering ..did you quizz the owner hard about that ?
Cause I'd love to hearthe story ..
Athough it is a Volvo with a N-14.. it could of been broke down alotRideandrepair, Siinman, Big Road Skateboard and 1 other person Thank this. -
Nah I didn't talk to the owner, just saw the for sale sign on the window. But for $10k (and the age) I would expect it to be a million mile truck. From the road it don't look like it's been beat to death too bad.Rideandrepair, Siinman and Last Call Thank this.
