I've never booked a fraudulent double brokered load. Never been enticed by one. Get calls and emails every day from brokerages with weird names. Usually have a 1,×××,××× MC# which right from the get go is absolute do not use for my truck. They're so easy to spot it's hard to believe people fall for it. But it happens every day.
Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

I’ve always resented the fact that my one truck operation books less than a half a dozen loads per month off the board while a 100 truck fleet can have 3 offices monitoring the same system 8 hours a day for the same price I pay!

Good, they need to be put out of business. If an Owner Operator wants to chance it then at least it is on him alone. A company trying to make an employee do that is just wrong. If anything would happen in a wreck the employee would be held accountable and the company would be able to escape with hardly any issues.Rideandrepair, Oxbow, kros and 2 others Thank this.

I wasn't saying what I said in defense of loadboards. It isn't that difficult to sift out the junk double brokered garbage but I'm in 100% agreement with you it's a broken system between that and the other shenanigans. You know who has the best loadboard? Coyote. But man are they ever the cheapest of the cheap anymore. Love all the full details they post up on their internal board though.Rideandrepair, Oxbow, gentleroger and 1 other person Thank this.

I'm not going to argue with them. I just told them to go to hell.
Anyway, I have long wanted to become an O/O. Apparently, fate pushes me.
And thank you all guys, you are the best teachers for me.Constant Learner, Rideandrepair, Gatordude and 6 others Thank this. -
Carefully check the help wanted section. You may have to go back aways. It's much easier than you could imagine.

Oh no I fully agree. They are pretty easy to identify but I must admit I have to do a double take sometimes. Beyond viewing loads, every other thing DAT offers can be sourced for free (Google reviews, the variety of credit report / deadbeat reports floating out there and the FMSCA).
From the desktop view I love CH Robinson's and enjoy the perks getting "special" loads offered to me before they are posted for the masses but I agree Coyote has the best app. I've been enjoying Truck Smarter as a lot of the loads will have pick-up and delivery times. I swear it would cut down on 50% of my calls if DAT required a pick-up and delivery time in their posting.Beaver9, Rideandrepair, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this. -
I haven't used my laptop in years so no clue what CHRW looks like on that. It sucks from a phone I know that. And weirdly I never use the Coyote app on my phone. I use the full website but I do use the app for tracking.

This post should be required reading on this site before someone can create a thread about how their company “made” them do this or that. Good on you for having a backbone and not caving to their wants.Rideandrepair, kemosabi49, Opendeckin and 6 others Thank this.
