Only 100 miles, you don’t even need to chain it down. Just a quick, simple load and go.

Woof. These rates. Volumes still good in certain areas others not.

I was trying to book a load to avoid the shipper I was stuck at for 24 hours on Memorial Day and inquired about a short load that delivered straight through. Initial broker quoted me $650 on 258 miles welp another broker was also working the load and they came out of the gate at $825 and we settled at $875. Sneaky sneaky broker trying to make me think the shipper was trying to clawback all those losses they experienced during Blitz week.

Supervalu is good, but I think AWG is better.

It was a nice short week. Got out on Tuesday afternoon, I'm back home today. 2 loads, 3K.
And yesterday was like a day off.

Today I received a call from the manager of a company in which yesterday I was forced to change the log book. They asked if I had changed my mind and if I wanted to work for the company. I recorded the conversation. Wow what a joke!!!

The ferry to Victoria island from Mainland BC is $5.60 USD per foot. One way. Over 13’ wide and its double. It’s a pretty nice 2+ hour ride with lounge areas and food a court. 22C1AF30-B4DD-43C0-AA78-9FFCFA5B9EAA.jpeg 3E63863E-6F82-46FE-9CE6-979A82E93AEC.jpeg 85B01876-3D83-4AD6-B0B1-E5A26B483B8F.jpeg

Ehh maybe, but guess what kind of look you'll get if you tell the Supervalu receiver you really need them to unload and check your freight in a timely manner? Or can you imagine any broker actually dialing up Supervalu and making that request? Yeah, uh huh...

    Sooooo.....$5.60 × 70? $392 each way? Or $5.60 × 14 = $78 each way.
Just wow. This broker was gonna screw someone hard.
