doesnt look horrible for a 20 year old truck.. the oil pressure seems kinda low but i dont know what those detroits run at normally... its really hard to tell from the pictures how a truck looks or what kinda shape its in.. you really have to see it in person and get underneath and look at the frame and driveline.. can tell you alot about how it was treated..anybody can buff out paint or do an interior detail and polish the wheels...

Right on what should the oil pressure be and did you see that in a photo? Is that a sign that it could be due for an overhaul?

Wish they had a closeup of the frame and diffs - they look pretty crusty at a distance.

looked to be around 30psi in the photo they took of the dashboard and all the other gauges are cold so we can assume it was a just a picture of the truck at idle after startup. and that is when the oil psi should be at its highest..... dont know what those detroits run at for oil pressure, have to ask someone experienced with those... the new cummins sit right around 35psi.. but i seen paccars that got 60psi and cats as well around that... but yes low oil pressure could be a sign its worn out.

I don't know what the oil pressure should be but I heard from a mechanic once the detroit 60 series has higher oil pressure than most cummins allowing it to idle at normal rpm without an issue.

Called the shop with international and got owners number, it's in consignment, gonna give him a call tomorrow to try and find out more. Meanwhile I found a diamond in the rough (I hope) that wasn't popping up before cause of my filters and the way the ad was listed. But take a look at this western star.
1999 WESTERN STAR 4900 For Sale in North Port, Florida

New transmission, suspension work and only 200k on the overhaul. Gonna call when I wake up. I'm wondering about these "Midroof sleepers". I had never been in a sleeper until recently and was amazed how high the ceiling was in the cascadias but still haven't been in a midroof sleeper. I assume the western star 4900 and international 9400i can also be stood up in even if your tall?

Looks in better condition than anything else you've posted so far. Someone's recently hit the frame with a rattle can, definitely want to look closely at that. Looks like some heavier rust on the front bumper brackets too.

Is it that square thing with the two lines running next to it that is the bumper bracket? Or is it lower? I'd have to see a better pic or see it in person. Hopefully he has receipts and I can get it checked out and if alls good will finally have myself a truck and a bobtail ride from FL to NH to get it registered :D I gotta say I like the price on it too.

More like it. Not bad for the price. Assuming the rebuild and other info is legit. What’s not to love? Good Truck at a good price. Only drawback is high priced hard to get Truck specific parts, compared to Freightliners. Fairly easy to work on. Plenty of room. Nice riding Trucks. I’d avoid that International like the plague. Avoid being tempted to go only for cheapest price. Big mistake often. Spending a dime on it would make me sick. Get something you’ll be proud of. Spending on repairs doesn’t hurt as much, if the Trucks worth fixing. Otherwise you end up spending more than it’s worth. The result is staying with it longer than planned. Nothings worse than being trapped in a Truck you hate. Get something you can live with for at least 3-4 years. Better chance of sucess, when upgrading. The more I think about the Swift Truck with the goofy specs, the more I dislike it. Way over priced. Stripped down, probably has had 99 different Drivers in it, maybe 99 different mechanics hands on it. That’s what destroys Trucks. Look close at frames, electrical stuff. Especially for rusty fuse boxes, caused by leaking windshields, hacked up wiring, and overall tidyness of engine compartment, especially wiring and hose routing. Watch out for hack job repairs.
