Whoever did your kingpins owes you a set of steer tires. They never checked toe-in after they were done
Cattleman84, W923, Flat Earth Trucker and 4 others Thank this. -
Tires are toed out alot. I'd guess at least 1/2" to 5/8". Normally set it toed in about 1/16"
Cattleman84, D.Tibbitt, Star Rider and 1 other person Thank this. -
Looks like they didn't do an alignment after the job.Cattleman84, D.Tibbitt, Star Rider and 1 other person Thank this.

Can you get some pics of the axle ends where the kingpins are? I have done many sets of kingpins over the years and I have never seen one that far out after the job is done.
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Hmm, wondering if someone tried to do a piss poor alignment while the kingpins were bad, then after new kingpins it really throwed it out!
was the truck pulling to one side? Did you have to fight it in the road? That’s extreme wear for 500 miles!!
If you can, Jack 1 side up and so you can rotate the tire, run a nail through the end of a board at an angle, set the nail up against the center area of the tire and rotate it while standing on the board. The nail will scribe a mark in the tire all the way around.
Do both sides like that, then have someone help you measure between the marks on both tires front and rear, see what the difference is in the measurement.
As mentioned earlier it must be 1/2” or better out….Cattleman84, W923, D.Tibbitt and 4 others Thank this. -
I know 3/4" of toe out will chew up a set of BFG All Terrains pretty good on a pickup after only about 200 miles..........Cattleman84, D.Tibbitt, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 2 others Thank this.
