I don't know buddy, you obviously have felt the ramifications of this first hand being from SoCal and dealing with it for so long. I can only really look at it from the outside looking in. I don't like what I see either. Our government has sold us down the river for many years and I don't know if the damage can even be controlled much less reversed without some sort of revolution. Problem with all you CA mofos is you won't take a stand, if everyones complaining bout carb then you ALL need to NOT comply, WTF are they gonna do, shut everyone down? Great that's all CA needs and they will cry for trucks to move next day. I disagree with eobr because then I won't make money, I don't run legal, I know when to sleep, don't need the govt telling me when I need to.

But then again this day and age everyone whines and moans bout rules and regulations, they had them back in the day and people still got around them. Rules are ment to be broken and if you don't want to be broken then you need to figure out a way around it. I'm not upgrading equipment just because one stupid state wants cleaner air, guess what it's still going to drift in and settle in LA which is by far the nastiest place next to NJ, that will never change and neither will the fog that's always there because the dump is in a valley. I always make sure to blow extra smoke in that state. Last time I neerly stopped traffic in Stockton on I5, notice I didn't say "the 5" because that's the ca way of saying it, behind me when lugged it down to 1200rpm and mashed it to floor. Cleared everyone out, why? Cuz I'm a American pos who believes in doing WTF I want and not what some green peace tofu farting fairy hippie is trying to push on me.

now i've read every one of these post or threads what ever you call them and some i agree with and some were even humerous but the fact is when goverment gets envolved in free interprise your going to have problems we always do this is not the first time they have been envolved in the trucking business and wont be the last. there still going strong with no sign of letting up WHY? because they can.

the sad thing is that we let them, we started the whole mess by not saying anything or doing anything years ago now all we are to the goverment is an ATM machine and im not talking about just the federal goverment the state goverment is every bit as bad.

every year the goverment raises our taxes then the state raises theres and what do we do we pay it and not a one of us complains we just do it and all we do is blame each other.

everyone is down on california and that is a good thing i've been down on california for years with all there idiotic laws and regulationa but the difference is i did somthing about it i havent been out there in 30 years and i aint going back, do i comply with california law ? absoloutly not and im not going back.

years ago i had occasion to go into st louis i stopped in a skelly truck stop well it seems there was a srike the steel haulers were on strike and they refuse to let me in the truck stop now im an old redneck i dont do orders well i simpl said you move or ill move you and this little short fat bad a-- told me when i come out they were going to teach me a lesson wel i no im a bad boy but i don't do threats either, i went in had a good dinner and got my fuel minding my own business, when i tried to leave they again stopped me and i was told they were going to take me out of my #### truck and teach me a lesson, now im not union i dont even like unions never have but in my mind no one is intitelled to pull me out of my truck and try to do me harm, but back then i was young and had a different attitude i tried to explain that i was emty and was dead heading home and that i was not union and i ask them to leave me alone then it got ugley and he snatched my sdoor open well what he didnt no was i had an old belgum made doubel barrel sawed off shot gun, now back then i was youg and i didnt want to kill anyone so i had removed the buck shot and replaced it with rock salt and when that door came open he got bothe barrels in the but and all of a sudden the path opened and i heft them screaming like a bunch of wild pigs and by god i didnt look back.

now i could have went to jail but at least i took a stand and i didnt have to kill anyone although i bet he hurt for awhile and im sure he will think twice beore he pulls a driver door open.

i dsont go to california at all and i dont go to ports , i dont have a twic card and i aint gong to get one if the #### goverment wants me to have one by god they can pay for it i dont want it.

i dont have an eobr in my truck and im not going to have one it's my truck i bought it , i payed for it and it belongs to me , if the goverment

wants to buy it they can put whatever they want in it then it will belong to them but as long as it is mine ill be the judge of want goes in it .


and ill sit by and listen to all you profesional drivers whine ##### and moan which in case you havent noticed does absoloutly no good.

another thing everybody ####### about cheap freight let me ask you this WHAT IS A BACK HAUL and why is it always cheaper the the load you took out ? it cost you just as much going as it does comming why do you take it ? I DON'T and im just one man and another thing in all my years out here and there has been a few i have never hauled a load for a dollor a mile that is just plain nuts , i dont do this for a hobby it has to pay or ill just park the #### thing and make a flower pot out of it it would pay as much. but YOU ALL DO IT then you ##### about it , makes sense to me ,NOT.

now there is a few organazations ot here that support this business there not perfect buy any means BUT there doing somthing or at least trying and most of you ##### and complain about them WHY ? because they cant take you buy the hand and help you on an individual basis well there trying to help the industtry not you personaly after all there not your mommy.

like the new no idel laws, where is it sais in any law that you have to freeze to death in order to work ? it does not say it anywhere it's not even in the us constatution, so why do you let them get away with it? i don't when i want to idel my truck i do, now im sure i will get a ticket sooner or later but it wont be payed till a federal judge tells me i have to pay it those LAWS ARE NOT LEGAL and no i dint have a 8000 dollor apu if the goverment wants me to have it they can pay for that to. im not .

for some unknown reason this whole country thinks they have to be ike the fantstic state of california why i haven't a clue if those liberals are so great why is the whole state bankrupt ever conidered that every time the liberal get a foot hole in somthing in a year its going down the tubes and we all seem to just let them do it WHY? i havent a clue but california is a good example and ther getting worse instead of better some never learn.

now if i can maintain my idependence and fight for my rights so can anyone im nothing specil i just take care of me and my busines BUT i can tell you this if you have it and it's woth keeping it's worth fighting for and if i can do it anyone can i dont even have an education but by god nobody walk over me encluding the #### govderment .

you might have a convestion with yourself the next time you look in the mrrior, man up it's the only way your going to kepp what you have or get anything more if you dont your going to slowly lose it all the goverment and each state is hungry and ther going to get it all and only you can stop it .

if i sound a little pissed off my alogies , but am i get a little tired somtimes of hearing about woe is me and all the doom and gloom.

Rate-fixing and government subsidies are not the answer. I would advocate a small, severely limited government. However we're not in the politics section. (yet)
