Things must be getting pretty dismal.

I haul two loads everyday from Allentown area to Harrisburg area, so I'm on 78 and 81 all the time. Anyone who's been there for any time knows what a circus that stretch of road is. This week there was times I thought the apocalypse happened. Nobody around me for a mile in front or behind me. Last I saw that little traffic was during COVID lockdowns

Here too in Arkansas it was 4 years, but I hear they have went up to 5.
When I lived in Texas, the CDL was good for 5 years, or technically a little more. I mean if you renewed it a couple months before it expired on your birthday, it would be good a little over five years when it expired the next time on your birthday. But the Hazmat endorsement, per FMCSA regs, is only good for exactly five years from the date of issue. So the CDL and Hazmat are issued on the same day, but it will end up expiring before your CDL does.

Nah. They're all hauling their campers down to FL, riding the speed limit in the hammer lane.

    They'll be back soon.

I might be wrong, but I think it was good for 2 years when I've got it many years ago.

Hey I was stuck behind one of these guys today absolute king of the middle lane do not move over under any circumstance hero!

Right side view of a megabus.jpg

It was a battle of him and
a very determined mega "driver" 67.1 mph versus 67.99 mph for about 10 or more miles. I can't risk a left lane violation now trying to swap jobs. Of course I get around then have to go into the Valdosta scales and they want to weigh my wagon. So you know who managed to get back in front of me again for more of the same lol.

I was actually referring to truck traffic, but now that I think about it, the camper crowd hasn't been near as bad

every Friday I run down to 419 south of bethel less traffic but we are still doing 38 mph up the hills in the middle lane and still getting passed in the 50 mph construction zone at 64.5 mph…
