Do not even begin to consider the TA and J at exit 10 on I-4. Trust me on that.

301 is not slow going, plus they have the truck by pass around starke open. 95s-295w-10w-301s- county road 318 west in citra it will dump you out right at the petro in reddick and you can get on 75 S there. Or if you like quiet and don’t mind a light or 2 get off FL A1A/state route 200 off 95s will merge you right into 301 south outside Callahan,FL quiet ride. Most of 301 will be 65 MPH besides towns and coming up to cross roads with lights.

95 south A1A(2d exit in flt just below scale)
Left off ramp follow south to US 90 left right at 1st lite...right down 301...thru merge w/27 right on cty 326 to 75 south
Beats heck outta dealing with Jax
I’ve run that way almost 50 years now

Beware: either Starke...or Waldo, FL (both on US301) used to be a pretty bad speed trap. Mind your speed carefully...especially in those areas.

With Florida traffic below Ocala....timing is/can be EVERYTHING. Sunday afternoon/evening is preferable to Monday afternoon....but that's not saying much. :(

If it were me...to avoid central FL traffic congestion/constipation--I would try to do as much as possible of central FL during "odd" hours...either late at night or extremely early am (or a mix of both).

Google Maps "traffic" (or similar) feature is arguably your best friend...for that run.

I used to do some reefer duty in those areas. Yeah...good times (NOT! )......o_O

I drive between tampa and Jax a couple times a week on average, and there’s someone pulled over for speeding in Lawtey at least a quarter of the time when I’m passing through. Waldo is barely patrolled.

Well since the Waldo pd is gone it’s much better
As for Lawtey...considering the 45mph speed limit and everyone doing 70+ it’s not surprising....I’m betting everyone getting stopped is at least 15 over
And imho if you’re gonna push the envelope that hard...ya get what ya play fir

    WallyWallyWorld Thanks this.

Wouldn’t give it a 2d thought…1/2 or more of Ct is 55mph or less in urban interstate settings
Traffic when not gridlocked averages 70+ you can run 65 and not even get noticed
Just stay outta left lane where restricted

    Siinman Thanks this.

And I think there's only one truck stop there, and try to shower and they give you 15min of water? Or with ym dislexia that could be somewhere else. Where am i?who are you people? Will somebody call me an uber? Not literally me...
