They are passed through to my customers, which in the case of hauling through a broker would be the same. ALL of my expenses are passed through to my customers, as well as my profit, otherwise I wouldn't be able to stay in business. It is built into the price that I agree to when accepting a job. It doesn't matter whether or not I am working by bid (firm-fixed price), Time and Material, Cost Plus, or whatever else may be contracted. In your arrangement it sounds like your company has reduced it's risk somewhat by billing certain expenses directly to the customer, and if they mark any of those expenses up that would be Cost Plus. But I guarantee you that all of your company's expenses, including your wages, are passed through to the customer.

Being a condescending ### doesn't help you a bit. Being a smart ### only hastens your demise.

Yeah I'm sure you are. I'm about to cut the brokers out of my life entirely. Too many of them fresh out of school with a smart attitude like yours talking down to drivers. Enjoy loading up flip floppers and sweat pants with your high dollar freight.

What happened to Tall Joe? This guy put out there his vague $4 a mile dedicated freight then went off on tangents when I asked, in a roundabout way, if it was $400 on a 100 mile loads or something really worthwhile. Is that bullying?

I'm gonna call tomorrow and inquire on where the free Tacos and Margaritas are to be had, surely after hauling that load you won't have any money to purchase them.
