I'm sorry but you are not understanding the pass thru concept with dedicated freight. You're not passing your expenses on to your brokered loads. You get an all in rate. Let's use easy math.... You take a load for $100, fuel expense is $25. Your net is $75. You're not passing the $25 fuel expense back to your broker and receiving $125.
Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

I just think it’s funny that I got told I don’t understand how dedicated contract freight works because I asked about length of haul and if the $4 he quoted was round trip or not, when the whole reason I have my truck leased on where I am is strictly because of our contract freight and not having to deal with brokers.xlsdraw, Jubal Early Times, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this.

So you saying I'm stupid in your usual condescending manner? I thought folks from Sandy High were better than that.
-
You don't.... Not on my level.

How many brokered loads have you pulled in the last 20 years, lol? I'm paid hourly and have figured out if I stop to take a dump it gets passed through to the company filling out my time sheet that day, easy peasy.tramm01, Gatordude, Jubal Early Times and 3 others Thank this.

Ha Ha Internet Gangs are tough. Made me think of the door warriors in the whole in prison. Always talking smack until we get out on the yard and now they was (Just Playing Man). Always someone that thinks they are tough until they are confronted.dwells40, fordconvert, Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this.

Wow, sitting next to a fella tonight from Armenia. Super nice guy. He was here last night also. He's got no load. Reefer driver. His truck payment is $4000 a month and trailer is $1000 and with living In Commefornia truck parking cost him $500 a month.
yikes. He made the mistake of buying a truck last year.
I'll give my man credit though. He's been sitting until a load paying a profit is available. Refuses the no money loads...
Guess I don't feel bad about sitting. Sure happy I don't have that $5500 hanging me by the balls monthly though. Kinda scary!!!LoneRanger, autopaint, dwells40 and 10 others Thank this. -
I don't think he was calling you stupid at all. It was a clear statement on how business runs and where you set on the chain of command. You manage the accounts and have nothing to do with getting the jobs and setting rates. Pretty simple statement in my eyes.SL3406, rollin coal, Rideandrepair and 4 others Thank this.
