05 volvo VNL isx15. Ss1200p air dryer
I installed the upgraded oil trapping air canister over the standard.
I pulled the old purge valve guts out and put new parts in along with a new air dryer cannister. I was not having any real big problems before it was just old.
Now when the engine is running it is dumping a lot of air constantly out of the purge valve. When it finally builds air the purge valve still goes off doing its spit and shuts off like normal but keeps releasing that same air from before. Once the engine is off after a few sec it will stop dumping the air.
If i press on the purge valve with pressure at certain angles i can get it to stop.
Not sure why its only when the truck is running. If its a bad valve install i would think it would keep leaking until it had no air.
Almost like the leak through the purge valve is directly from the compressor only doing it while the engine is on and stopping once the engine turns off and the pressure drops in a few sec in the compressor line.
Any ideas?
Purge leak after rebuild or is it the valve?

No ideas? My next step is to re install the purg valve since it was what i touched to check for install errors. I would think if it was the issue it would not be leaking based on the engine running but all the time. Worth a check since i have no other ideas. I have 3 more days to fix it

Unloaders in the compressor are not working and the compressor is still pumping.

So the new purge valve plastic part that sticks down and holds the guts in was bad. Put the old one back in and it works.
