Most the industry again has settled down to like .60 cents a mile, but should be able to make 1200 to 1500 a week as a unexperinced company driver, yeah 6 years ain't much. There usually bottom of the barrel companies but I've had luck in the past, search craigslist job listings in your area, you might get lucky

@Chinatown should be able to help
I’d suggest getting the haz mat back and get the TWIC
I’ve told my bosses “ F no I’m not doing that “ a couple of times when they asked me to do something I knew was illegal or dangerous or just plain stupid .
“sorry boss , I think that’s dangerous/ illegal because of XY and Z , I’m not comfortable doing that “alds and BitcoinBuddha Thank this. -

You don’t mind tarping most loads, especially at first. I probably only tarp a few loads a month but I’ve worked to that “seniority”
You can/want to stay out 4-6 weeks, that’s how you get the big bonuses here (an extra 40 CPM for every mile over 9900)
Multi stop loads, for an extra $15 per stop, are acceptable
68/70 mph trucks but only 450 hp, new trucks have all the safety ########.
Mostly flat and step at first but we have just about every kind of open trailer to pull oversize up to 6 axles.
We do some short hops, some local pickups if they are short handed. But most of our runs are over 1000 miles. Last I looked I was averaging 1600 miles per run.
Professional attitude and dress. We are hauling multi million dollar loads at time, flip flops need not apply.
not trying to recruit but You said some things that are rare, most flatbedders want to be home every weekend. This isn’t the place for that. Last year I grossed $130k, you won’t do that. At least not for a few years, but well into the $100k’s is fairly reasonable. Especially if you stay out for more then a month. Last I heard over half of our otr drivers were over 90k. -
