What company are you with? @EstesWest yeah bro I talked to the HR lady and can confirm they cut out the extra money for extra days. That's so bull crap man. Estes West does operate like it's own company so that's something else too. It's also why y'all get paid more!![]()

LOL, I wasn't sure if the bonus for extra days work was still going? Was last year. Without the bonus, won't see me doing anything more than my run. In fact, wish we would slow down and get cut. Take no pay vacations to give the xtra board some work.
-
Dude I honestly thought you'd never reply lol. I understand how you feel. I'm just biding my time for the winter because all the extra days working will be over. I'll be at home enjoying my time off with cancelled runs. Last year dude I literally worked 3 days a week until almost February. The second guy behind me got cut almost 4 days a week guaranteed. I'd let him run my spot while his was cut so he could work. There were weeks where he was cut all 5 days dude.
I remember coming in on a Sunday after working 7 days and he looked just sad bro. He came to the terminal, then called central hoping they'd hook him up. It was a few times he went the entire week with no work. It gets crazy like that on some of them runs bro. If you're not the first one... Dead in the water. -
So frustrating how central give the long loads to the Covenants instead of their own Flex Teams
-
Agree, know how you feel.
But they are already paid for under contract with Covenant, running or not. Can't remember what a Covenant driver told me, there are 50 or 100 teams under contract just for Estes.Last edited: Jun 17, 2023

Then whats the point of having Estes teams if all the long loads are being assigned to the contractors and the Flex teams are not getting enough miles to make a decent paycheck?

I'm literally on a turn to 064 right now. I'm gonna push to stay out until tomorrow morning. I'm glad they let me run today. Wasn't doing anything around the house.
-
Hey, its not so bad. Its all I do now.....
-
064 was a complete mess. Trailers everywhere, sets everywhere, dollies EVERYWHERE! My trailers were off to the side in the dirt lot and needed to be heavily placarded. You're gonna earn that money at Estes lol.
Still, there's freight that needs to go at that terminal so the guys that are running will eat. It was at least 15 sets parked all over the yard in spaces they shouldn't be in.dwells40 Thanks this. -
Boys... I FINALLY got a day run and it's lovely. 494 miles a day, and it's in a very strong lane. Idk what's going to happen come winter time, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts. Cuts before 12 noon and I'm off before 1900. I'm loving it so far boys. The only DOWNSIDE is it's Tuesday-Saturday.
Can't win em all so I'll take it. No more nights at the moment lol. Also, I'm back so early I can drive whatever truck I want. No more crap trucks and manuals.
Call her McDonald's... I'm lovin it!
jmz, Gearjammin' Penguin, dwells40 and 5 others Thank this.
