After 3 years of fueling the DEF I figured it out last year. Was like #### I feel like a complete tool for not knowing that. Ha ha At least I am not the only one out there.

That just pisses me off. I get those and of course will be in the middle of the winter cold as hell and have to have it because next stop is 200 miles away.

If it makes you feel better we had a driver try to refill his jugs once from a tote using the bottom drain on it. Emptied half the tote in the shop.

You get the point across to them by smashing it on the ground when your done
Gently tap'n it on the ground won't break up the crystallization you gota bang it on the ground like you hate it

DEF is water soluble so “dipping” it in the windshield washer bin get all DEF crystals off, just have to shake it off or dry it with a paper towel after.

I learned about banging the nozzle on the ground, because one of them simply wouldn’t dispense; it kept kicking off. When I saw all the buildup, I knew where the problem was.

And, nope. I never give the nozzle full throttle. I don’t exactly know what’s down that hole and have always feared it gushing out. I always listen for the sound to change, as the level starts coming up to the nozzle, and am prepared.

I bought this parka, to combat freezing to death, while fueling. It’s a game changer, reasonably priced, and qualifies for safety requirements at every customer.
