I am actually running harder than when I was there at climate. I don't keep track of the miles all the time like I should but it's not so much harder as far as miles. It's time put in to get the job done. Plus I do all my own trip routing an fuel planning. I also do a lot more of my own customer service type stuff as far as dealing with shippers an receivers. All stuff that Climate used to do for me via the Qualcomm.

Was just trying to remember correctly cuz I seen a Garrison truck at Oak Grove ky when I left there this morning. I'm in Columbia SC now. Gotta crash, as they'll be knocking around 4 or 5 to unload me.

Down here in Dallas tonight -- a crisp 90 degree night that feels like 97 according to the weather. APU went out last week and I managed to not have to idle when it was around 70 at night. I think I'll be chocking wheels and cranking down landing gear tonight and keeping the tractor released to idle for this one lol

The shop will change those settings in the computer for you if you ask them to. You can have it set to where you don't where it will idle and not shut down they will they will take that automatic shutdown out of the truck for you.

That is when you get through climate again. That way you'll always have the ability to ability to idle in cases like that where the Apu quits or you know. Like in the winter time if it gets really super cold you know a lot of times yeah idle rather than using the APU to help prevent gelling. And yeah I know there's additive you can put in your fuel and all that but below zero degrees I'm not counting on an APU I'm running the truck.

I've actually ran the APU when gets below 0, and I didn't gel up. I put an entire bottle of additive in each tank though Lol. I do agree it's better to run the truck because the APU won't get warm enough in those conditions. It'll just keep you from freezing to death. Sometimes in extreme heat it won't keep up. They can get it to where it will cool off in 100 degree weather, but at least they're understanding if you gotta idle.

I'm up here in Wisconsin delivering Hershey at a Walgreens. I know I'm gonna be here a while. Walgreens takes at minimum 3 hrs to unload at any of the DCs it seems. The weather is quite pleasant here. It's nice to get that break from extreme heat. I thought of you yesterday when I went to get a tire repair lol. The trailer I got at Hershey, well the tire was actually blown. Big hole in the side wall. Good thing I had a 1 pm delivery today, I would've been thrown off majorly.

Agreed. One night last year, I was up in Jamestown, ND with a wind chill of -26. That was past my threshold for trusting an APU lol. The shop will need to be getting me back sooner than later considering the fan clutch has decided to fail today of all days. Constantly on and secondary tank leaking only when engine is running makes it seem like the culprit. Oh well, only 1300 miles til service interval anyways. Maybe with 465k, they'll find me a replacement lol.

Hershey seems to be the worst for running across trailer issues. Yard dogs tearing off and bending mud flaps brackets and people picking up empty trailers from surrounding customers just to drop at Craftsmen probably doesn't help. No idea how it managed to loaded with a completely blown tire though. Yard dogs aren't responsible for pre/post trips, but that should be on the no load list lol. This trailer I have now had a screw on the outside edge when I picked it up at Craftsmen. Luckily, it was short and went in at an angle. Shiny, worn down end of a screw in plain sight -- didn't even have to bend over to see it, but it is what it is, I guess. At least it didn't puncture.
