I got off on Atlantic the first trip I made as an employed driver. The last time I had driven, I was 19 driving with my dad in California. I even had a 12'6" trailer! This was back in 1998. Boy did I feel like a chump when I got to our warehouse at the Navy Yard.

It was there in 1990 the first time I saw it. And it looked like it had been there for years then.

Back to Flatbush Av north to Linden Blvd(HiWay 27) east to I 678 Vanwyk Express north to I495 Long Island Expressway east to Rt 110 ex 49s to price pkwy
Please note Linden Blvd merges w/the Belt Pkwy at the Bklyn/Queens border
Stay RIGHT to stay on service road…do NOT get on Pkwy!

Depending on what time of day this is being done may be better off going out 27 east to 135 north to 24 east. If it’s middle of the night van wyck shouldn’t be terrible. I left JFK the other day though for the first time in years and the van wyck is messed up good down there with construction

I did exactly that my first trip out there. I was headed out to exit 63 on the LIE, some junkyard up that way somewhere.

I got off the BQE at Atlantic Ave like the sign said. I don’t know I made my way out through there, but I came back out somewhere in the Williamsburg neighborhood.

I think the 12’9” sign is intended for this section, particularly the right lane eastbound and left lane westbound.

Edison? Goethals Bridge and 278 through Staten Island and Brooklyn to L.I.E.

On the way back out? Depends on what the next move is but I'd probably go out over Throggs Neck Bridge and GWB if you're trying to get back to 95 or 80 to go back to America.

7 hours might be pushing it. There ain't nowhere to park on Long Island and you'd be short on time to make it anywhere afterwards that didn't totally suck. Ida told them I didn't have the hours to pull that off. Not a fun day even if you did.

I remember the first time I went that way and found out they replaced the Goethals bridge. I was a happy fat kid... that old bridge was NARROW. It may have been narrower than the bridges across the MS and IL rivers near Cairo, IL
