WK Parkway tolls dropped off in 1987.
tscottme and Truckersheldan Thank this. -
We have stuff going all over, I just try not to go too far east unless it’s worth it. We have a pretty regular deal into Huntington WV area and I think we have a bunch of flatbed owner ops based somewhere in WV too. I prefer to go bake down in Phoenix when I need to stretch my legs.JolliRoger, Suspect Zero, Truckersheldan and 2 others Thank this.

The only note I'll add is to watch traffic on the Bluegrass Pkwy and ESPECIALLY at the junction where the BG terminates at I-65 and the Western KY Pkwy begins. (One would think they would have designed that interchange as a straight-thru, but whatever.) Anyway, depending on the time of day, someone's liable to do something stupid somewhere between Bardstown and (especially at) Elizabethtown, and if you don't catch the stupid in advance, you might find yourself staring at brake lights a little longer than you want.
Other than that, though, should be a smooth ride from Lexington west, really from about Huntington WV west. Neither the BG nor WK parkways ever really get too busy (again, except at that Elizabethtown junction), so enjoy the rolling bluegrass countryside on your way down to ol' Paddycake.tscottme, RockinChair, Truckersheldan and 1 other person Thank this. -
I ran the BG and the WK a lot when I was hauling bananas from Biloxi to Parkersburg and Bluefield
Truckersheldan Thanks this. -
Good information to take note of.

I saw where Paducah was getting hit with some bad storms recently. Anybody hear of any damage or problems in that area from the weather. Hoping it will be a pretty calm run as far as weather.
-
Like anyplace in The South. They get heavy thunderstorms frequently. It doesn't usually cause significant damage. Google Paducah & storm damage to be sure.

You'll be alright running to Paducah. The western half of the state gets small tornados pretty often, but nothing to worry about too much. We had a couple big ones a couple years ago that destroyed Mayfield and did significant damage to Bowling Green, but that's not very often. We do get a fair share of severe thunderstorms that like to damage mobile homes, but You'll have a pretty easy ride to Paducah
