You have an almost 900 mile drive to make before tomorrow morning? These trucks must have gotten alot faster since I retired....

    Colorado back to Indiana.
Picking up tomorrow headed to Hastings MN. Then grabbing another load to Kimberly Clark in Arkansas for a D&H. Wanted to get my PM done but didn't work out. 2837 miles for the week.

    Pretty good miles.
Over 3,000 the last 3 weeks. I gotta renew my medical certification next week. On vacation at the moment. Also need a PM on the Freightliner. I will be down a few days next week.

I am no longer with SAV.
So this will be the end of this thread. After 6 1/2 years with the company. Here are my final thoughts...

    SAV is a good company.
They paid for my rental car home and paid me for the 2 weeks of vacation I had left for the year. They didn't have to do either one of those things and it's greatly appreciated. My main complaints are Insurance and Dispatch. The insurance is horrible. It's cheaper to pay my doctor visits out of pocket than use insurance. $72 out of pocket or $126 insurance. They pay ABSOLUTELY NOTHING until I meet a $3,500 deductible. Some are as high as $7,000. I really hope they can do better for the drivers in the future.
Dispatch is not horrible. But it could be better. They eliminated assigned dispatchers a few years ago. They definitely need to bring it back. To many times the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Too many Chief's and not enough Indians. I hope my experience will help people who are looking at the company. I have never sugar coated my posts here. I have nothing derogatory to say about the company. For the most part they were always good to me.
