While i initially questioned this, i did go consult the green book and was pretty disgusted that they specify "tiedown" not chain. That is insane personally.
Dont have chains or dont want to throw them, dont haul coils -
Nice . Don't see any coil racks underneath that lumber eitherNoBigHurry, cke, CAXPT and 1 other person Thank this.

Don't worry. That guy will learn pretty quick why they call them suicide coils

DOT/FMCSA has never been specific on what should be used to secure any cargo. Even describing what is an “approved” tie down, like a strap, is very vague. The most you get is WWL for various items, then they push that back on the manufacturer as well.cke, Feedman, CAXPT and 1 other person Thank this.

This looks like a simple matter of inexperience..not making a wide enough turn and cutting it too short. With only one strap per bale and not two in front or any cross, it looks like just plain lazy, also.

surprised that didnt roll all the way over! almost looks like a strong enough wind gust is all it would take to send it on its side

I wonder if that has anything to do with those shiny reflection thingamabobs mounted on the doors?
