Just bumped my first dock in 2 years. Felt like I was driving illegal for a bit when I came out of the house to come make this delivery at Tops in Dallas lol. I know I'm legal to drive, but it didn't feel like it. Hard to describe lol.

Magnum is a lot like Climate. No micromanagement at all. Good miles if you want them. Office is full of goofball lol. They run PNW down to Texas and everything east but the coast. No NYC. Some easy NJ stuff, rare MD and VA. Back hauls are forced dispatch, but outbound from Fargo/Coon Rapids is not. You can pick your poison on outbound loads. No fuel solutions or routing, run how you want (within reason obviously). New 579s nicely equipped. Only sucky part is they're governed at I think 65 now (was 64 when I was there). And last, very liberal home time. You can stay out 2-3 weeks, take 2-3 days off, stay out 6 months and take 2 days off, stay out 6 weeks and take 2 weeks off. They don't care. Only bad thing other than the governed speed is its mostly reefer with lots of live load/unload at frozen warehouses. Meaning you could sit for 3-5hrs at a time on either end of the load.

Oof what a day. Delivered a load of Milos tea to Monroe GA. Only took an hour but when come to find out when I pull out I have a pallet remaining. Check with receiving and find out that pallet isn’t theirs. Sooo report it to garrison they contact Milos they say to donate it. Anyone want a few cases of one gallon jugs of sweet tea?

I don't think you'll have too much trouble getting rid of sweet tea down in GA :)

I guess it's better for it to be an overage than a damage claim

Magnum seems to have the recipe to make the big bucks. I bet running for them is a pain in the winter time since so many backhauls go to Minnesota and North Dakota. I love how their trucks look too. I'm at home now. Inwas supposed to get a load out of Mississippi with 2 pickups going back up to STL area, some furniture. I was going to drop tomorrow. Then things changed. Yesterday, I had a 1 pm to pick up Coke in Lenexa, KS. Brought to Craftsmen. Then bobtailed to Memphis to pick up the trailer, that was supposed to be loaded today. Problem is that they wanted me there at 9 am today. Didn't get any time back til nearly noon and the shipper down in Mississippi cuts off at 13:30. Then they told me the 2nd one wasn't going to reload me afterwards since I'd be running behind. Robert initially told me to disregard that load but then told me to stay home for the weekend and pick up Monday morning. I'll leave the house Sunday evening so I can be there right when they open. They told me the 2nd stop will take 2 hrs so I'm gonna try to haul ### back up to STL and I'll see if I can't reload Monday evening when I get up there. That's my game plan, hopefully it goes to perfection. Meanwhile, I'm gonna soak in this hometime and get some husband and father time in. I know one thing, I'm going to eat at American Deli while I'm here....those gyros are quite delicious!

Went to Denver twice this week and it seems like all I did coming and going was pass Climate trucks. Man that’s a heavy lane for you guys. I used to try remembering your guys’ truck numbers, but 1/2 the time when I’m checking in at a quarry I can’t remember my own so I gave up on that. Now I just wave at all of em just in case it’s one of you guys on here. :)

Oh yeah....sometimes I swear half the fleet is headed out to Colorado lol. I was coming back east in 70, and I think I saw 7 of us going westbound. That's just from Kansas City to about Boonville lol

Oh ok I misunderstood. Thought ya were still having an issue with the double down jake brake feature. Pulling hills with them is a crap shoot. All volvo 760's an It seemed like we never had one pull the same on uphill grades.

What's everyone's favorite walmart to stop at on 70 between Wright City and Denver? I gotta babysit a Coke load over the weekend and need to stop at one to get supplies.
