Yellow Freight closure thread

Both CH Robinson and Uber freight, 2 of the largest 3pl companies removed yellow from their list of carriers.

Bill Zollars, supposedly was CEO at Eastman Kodak when they developed the ‘digital camera’. Zollars authorized the selling of the patent for the digital camera, claiming ‘the concept will never catch on’.

 

nope sorry, it was that Zollers guy.

 

i never knew his other ventures, only when he was at Yellow.

seems to be a pattern there of screwing up.

 

He's on the board of USPS now........you connect the dots.....LOL

 

Well i knew that Mr. DeJoy was making a mess of things there, now thanks to you, the puzzle is complete....

 

ya they lost a contract. They laid off around 100 people. Effected drivers from 4 different states. It was good while it lasted.

 

Between the equipment they wouldn't maintain and the lack of support for the drivers I wondered how they lasted as long as they did.

 

Estes sent out a message to be prepared to handle more freight due to Yellow. In fact, we are stepping up operations as we speak to handle more volume. Our terminal is booming more than ever, more staff etc.
