    Arg!
I hate it when a new series comes in that I really want to watch, and then have to get a new account for streaming.

So, I just had to subscribe to AppleTV+.
7 bucks a month, so easy to afford.

    Foundation is the show.
I read the books decades ago, so a bit rusty on the details. Not sure how well the series adheres to the actual story line.
But after watching the first season, I must say that I am impressed with it.
Season 2 comes out Friday, so looking forward to it.

And there are a couple other things that look like good watchings.
'See' is one, and the first episode has me hooked. Jason Mamoa stars, and I like him.

It is so nice to have some fresh and new shows.
All the remakes and prequels and sequels get so tiresome.

See seems to be entirely original. And that is especially good.

    Northfield, MN at the J.

I got here at around 1530 with the plan to reserve a spot if it was too full. I waited too long and all the reserved spots were taken.
I had a bad feeling with so few trucks on the road. I guess they were all sitting at the truck stops.
So I parked over on the side, not sure if I would get kicked out at some point.

Then there was a knock at my door and I feared the worst. But it was another driver that had parked next to me, blocking me in.
He wanted to know when I was planning on leaving because he didn't want to block me in.
He had reserved a spot, and there were no spots left when he got here. The people inside told him to park where he parked and refunded his money.
No more worries for me parking here, as I am blocked in until he leaves.
He leaves at around 0600 and I won't be leaving until around 0900. Pretty cool.

    Gotta love grocery deliveries.
    Lumper service at its best.
I got here at 1430 for my 1500 delivery and I got a door right away.
Then I sat for many hours, until around 2130 with less than 1 hour left on my 14.
A guy comes out to tell me that they have been waiting since 1730 for something to do with one pallet, but I was being cut loose.
But, there was some product that was refused and a couple damaged other things.
Damaged... right. They probably damaged it when they unloaded it and don't want to deal with it on their end so they pawn it off on me.

I had reserved a spot at the J in Northfield, MN, but I had to use PC to get out of there.
That J was on my route, so I could not legally go there as there was a closer place out of my route. So I ended up at the drop lot at Inver Grove Heights.
Now I have to deal with the OSD stuff in the morning. Well, late morning, since I didn't get shut down until after 2200.
What a pain. They are just as bad as Amazon.

    dptrucker Thanks this.

Last time I had an "overage" at a grocery DC (WINCO, Boise, ID) it turned out to be 10 large (25 lbs?) bags of flour. So I found a food bank and they were glad to accept it. I told Swift after the fact.

    dwells40 and Moosetek13 Thank this.

Does Swift not allow you to stop your 14 after 2 hours off-duty?

    No idea. Does DOT?
All I know it was a long day, and I don't like long days.

If you are talking about a split sleeper kind of thing, I don't fiddle faddle with fudging hours to give myself even more time.
I like a consistent schedule, whenever possible.

When things go into overtime like that I always end up losing more time than I gain, because then I have to get myself back on track with my normal hours.
It messes with my sleep and eating cycles, and that messes me up.

I'm glad that worked out for you.
What would you have done if the customer had said to return the product after you had given it away?
Because that was probably listed on the BOL when you got it back, and should have been reported by you at the time.
Deciding for yourself what should be done is a dangerous thing.

I got up this morning and spoke to my FM and OS&D, and the trailer was t-called at Inver Grove, no longer my problem.
I didn't have to find someplace to deal with it, and there is no possible liability on my part.

WINCO listed it on the BOL as an overage and returned it. I donated it saving Swift the time, money, and hassle of returning it. It was a win-win and even my DM agreed with me. I got a receipt for the flour and turned it in with my BOL.
