Hang in there man. Don't lose any hope. Even one of the mechanics told me recently that this new batch of trucks is giving them the blues. The price of having mass produced equipment. I guess. The shop guys are awesome in my view. I think that's one of the best features about this company. I remember when I had truck 1020, which was one of the old 670s, I hit a deer just past Cadiz, KY I believe. They towed 1024 out to me but the door didn't close. I rigged it up just enough to get to close and not beep at me going down the road. Once I got to the shop, that door was fixed in like 2 minutes I swear. Nate will get that fixed with no issue whatsoever. Little things like that can be a pain though. As for alignment, these trucks get get aligned, but a couple of trips through Oklahoma and Indiana pretty much kills that off quickly.

Yeah, I was just having a moment earlier. Had good miles last week, good miles this week, and will be rolling good miles over into next week. Spending a 34 here in Oak Grove, MO and then will have an easy drive over to Pueblo on Monday morning. Gonna have to stop into the Awful Waffle tomorrow for breakfast lol. I've been craving their chocolate chip waffles lately, and haven't had the pleasure of the Waffle House crowd in a while :D

The shop is great for sure -- it's nice that Climate has it well staffed and has certain techs that are better are different things. It makes getting in and out a breeze.

Those deer are scary when they show up on a busy interstate like I-24. They always catch me off guard more if it's not somewhere like Wisconsin or Michigan where I expect to see them. One time, I hit 2 in one shot in Iowa, but luckily, we had deer guards on all of the trucks.

1291 drives like a dream. I didn't realize how much worse whatever was wrong with 1301 made it ride in general -- bumps, banking, etc.

Ahhhh you're going to Toppers in Pueblo, you're exactly 665 miles away using their routing. You'll make it there with like 15 minutes left lol. Toppers is one of my favorite spots to deliver.

I'm glad my mental math checked out with your years of experience here lol. I noticed they had good reviews and street parking, so it should be a nice way to start Tuesday morning.

The best part about the drive out to Pueblo is knowing it's another easy 665 miles back this direction.

I usually always went US-40 to CO-96 since the speed limit is basically governed trucks speeds, but I'm fine with their routing too. I guess the risk of being in the true middle of nowhere if there's a breakdown with no fuel stops except a single Love's isn't worth saving the 40 miles though. I recommend it though if they'll let you on your way to Pueblo at some point. It's beautiful and peaceful seeing nothing but empty plains in all directions with almost zero traffic.

Use Limon flying hook for filling up before going to pueblo. They do that cuz if ya gotta go on west to get taters, you will then have enough fuel to get back to salina ks for fuel. Same reason you may sometimes see that on the way out to denver, ya might have both salina an then a top off at aurora co. It's cuz if ya go on to monte vista then you'll be able to get back to salina with they're routing.

Haven't ever been to Monte Vista, so I'd enjoy that. Really haven't seen much of CO at all besides I-25/76/70 east of CO

One hundred percent agree. The Colorado loads are best strategized in my opinion. I was running with one driver who would take that 96 on down to 50 west and come in that way. He went into business for himself amd got fuel at the Pilot in Colby. We both went to Monte Vista to reload, and he didn't have enough to get back to Salina. I think he ended going to Lamar to get fuel. Then he was like, "I think I'll get fuel in Limon next time." I'm thinking to myself, "No #### Sherlock." Lol but that particular driver is rebellious for the hell of being rebellious. He always decides tondo things "his way," and it gets him into hot water at times. Sometimes I do audible the routing or fuel stops. Majority of the time, I just follow their routing.

Oh yeah that ride to Monte Vista is gorgeous man. I love going out there myself. It's so many different potato farms its crazy, and all those runs have miles. I have had some crazy deadheads from Pueblo. I've had to drive to get the milk in Platteville, sugar in Fort Morgan, I've even gone down to Texas to reload cheese. I liked the taters since it's quick loading

Yea by the way, I think I had posted on here before about lucas telling us that we could use that Lamar pilot if we needed to. Scratch that now for you guys because it's not a pilot anymore. I loaded wheat here while back south of there on 385. It is now a T/A Express truck stop.

If you do get the opportunity to ever go to monte vista from the denver area, Do yourself a favor and go west on 70 to 470 south and go down 285 to monte vista. That side of 470 is not a toll road, so ya don't gotta be concerned about violating the company toll policy about avoiding Colorado Tolls. 285 is a nice scenic pretty ride, IMHO. A lotta guys don't like to fuss with that way. Miles wise it is shorter than 25 south to wahlsenburg, ( not sure I am spelling that correctly ) then 160 over to monte vista. I always ran it cuz I liked the scenery.
