Hi, my trailer axles won’t slide when I’m loaded. They only slide when I’m empty. What’s the issue? Thanks

Spray inner slide lube on the slider next time you’re empty and slide them back and forth a few times.

I carry around 4x4 sections of hardwood about the length of a pair of tandems to block the wheels when I'm having difficulty. It's not unusual to have that happen when you're loaded.

If you have to use 4 x 4. The brakes aren't adjusted. Nor are they working.

If the brakes are adjusted. That trailer isn't moving. And you won't need to pack wood.

Pack tools instead. To adjust the brakes.

A good brake adjustment on all 5 or more axles is very important to stopping loaded semis.

I had used a land star trailer that was a hot mess. Loaded or not the trailer would only slide if I was on a steep hill. I tried the greese, the rolling nail the trailer brakes. The and the blocks. This thing had to be on a steep incline/ decline, depending on which way I had to slide them.

I had a trailer I had to do this with sometimes. The brake spring was weak enough to let the axle roll under power, yet strong enough to hold it while parked. I would use the johnny brake or a 4x4 to hold and slide the trailer axle.

If you have to put a wrench on an auto slack it’s time to throw them away, unless of course you have something older then 94 with manuals

Yep. But in the mean time. A wrench will keep you from being oos.

    And rear ending someone.
