Sounds more to me like goobly gook for " we are cleaning the freight out of our system " ...management at yrc showing what crooks they are as usual.

In March they listed assets as $2 billion, liabilities of $1.5 billion. At fire sale, I'm guessing that will leave $100 million. 50 million shares outstanding- at $2 a share that doubles the current strike price for a lot less effort than fixing the shambles. And that's before considering the threat of being delisted.

Saw the first Yellow truck that I've seen all week this afternoon when he drove by the house. I typically encounter around half a dozen or so on 78 headed towards Harrisburg, but since last Wednesday I haven't seen any.

From what it sound like they are only doing deliveries, picking up spotted trailers, cleaning up the dock and will be closing the doors at the end of the week. Filing for bankruptcy on Monday most likely. I guess we will see how it turns out but that’s my best guess.

I thought the same as you… now I’m not so sure. What if they are clearing the system to start one yellow on the rebound? They can redo their pricing and actually take freight that pays, get rid of excess staff both drivers, supervisors, middle and upper management. Thin the herd, cut costs, not be hindered by freight. They already rejected the 11.00 an hour raise that they offered, somethings not sitting right.

That’s why at this point it’s hard to say what the plan is. They have definitely lost a large amount of their work force already and the majority of their customers. I guess they could come back rebranded and without the Union but anything even associated with yellow is toxic.

    could be..........

could be that several managers, could have already talked about a new company, starting up.

however yes, the union would be de-certified, and they too would be on a wing and a prayer.....

much like all the other companies (Preston and Jevic come to mind) that Yellow stripped clean, and set free, then they too failed.....

and where would they start up at..?? (city/state)

JoeyJunk, bzinger and 48Packard Thank this.
