Because Yellow had no intention of paying. They knew they couldn't, just bargaining for "just one more week".

They are delivering but not picking up. In other words, every bit of revenue they have is already on the truck.

The circus is over and next the next chapter is what becomes of the employees ...the bankruptcy proceedings and the big auction.

    Doesn’t yellow own SAIA ?
And haven’t they been dumping all their money into new trucks etc for them for years ?

    bzinger Thanks this.

Isn't yellow the company that pays your health insurance, for employee and family all together with no cost to employee? I think it was YRC I talked to a couple years ago who said that, I could be wrong. I didn't go to them obviously, whether it was or wasn't them. But that could be one reason they're hurting for the coin. The too generous insurance benefits that is, not because I wasn't working there.

    JoeyJunk Thanks this.

I can't speak for SAIA buying new trucks. But any YRC truck I have seen, looked almost as bad as ACI trucks.

ducnut, JoeyJunk, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this.
