    NO WAY!!!

    You don't say?

    You're making that up!!

It is just like the idea that the megas sets the rates owners see on the load boards.

The companies still hiring have thousands of drivers quitting each month.

Bulk chemical is extremely slow right now.
Usually this time of year it’s busy and steady.
The aviation fuels side of the business is fairly busy.

Curious question. Are there stats on what percentage of freight moved by trucks is steady meaning it does not change much from a seasonal point of view. I mean things like food consumption, personal care products, etc. How much of a variable is there in terms of the actual volume of freight shipped on a monthly basis. The worlds population continues to rise, Humans are getting fatter so we must be eating more so how much can freight actually go down and stay down for long period of time?

It isn't necessarily how much a person eats that makes them fat. It's the choices that person makes a lot of times. If one family buys 100 bucks worth of juice, chips, and processed food and another family buys veggies, fruit, and other forms of fiber with their 100, who's going to be healthier?

The OP must be an owner-operator, so he probably won't be a good fit for a company driver, even though reefer outfits have lots of freight for company drivers. He didn't post in the owner-operator thread though.
