They almost never respond if you give them a courtesy flash because they're blinding you with their high beams. I pretty much gave up trying.

Both trucks and four wheelers do that...they really don't seem to care.

I rode back in the 70’s with my grandfather all over usa.
I can remember truckers helping other truckers , and public .
Flashing lights to move over , them returning the signal .

I drive around DFW in 1/2 ton Ram , all over checking on our construction jobs . The public drivers 90% of them are rude, pull out in front of me , or merging in , about tear my front bumper off .

Now Truck drivers , going 65 will pull right over in front , or will camp out in left lane
    I know they get frustrated.
    Thanks

Former trucker; I only drive my car now. I will flash a truck driver over, but not a car. Why? Because there's probably about a 10% chance that the car driver is a road-rager these days, and probably about a 50% chance that the driver has no earthly idea why I just flashed my lights at him. I think it was during my first year driving OTR that I gave up on flashing car drivers for anything other than high-beam infractions.

In some states you can get a ticket for flashing lights at other vehicles.

    Hmm,
I hold down the granny lane daily. When another 18 slow passes me & wants back over to the granny 3 options run through my hamster wheel..

    - depending on the look of the truck, key up with a C'mon
-day I'll flick the lights on off once, maybe twice
-night I turn the candles off & back on.

Hate when I look in the right side mirror at night wanting to come right only to get a eye full of brights..

4 wheelers get options 2 & 3 if they are waffling..

I don't need someone to flash me to let me know when it is safe to move back over to the right lane, mainly because I don't cut people off by moving over too soon. I can see in my mirror how much lead I have.

However, I do appreciate the kind 4-wheelie or truck that will give me the flash if they are letting me move to the left lane when I put my signal on.
