Bad thing about fuel or whatever. You gots to drive in the snow. Gas needs to be delivered.

My last job was food waste. You can't do 14 hours in the snow and March was really bad. And plants NEED their tanks emptied.

Fortunately not much of a concern down here in the Houston area. We do sometimes get hurricanes and such coming in off the gulf and flooding sometimes which I’m sure would bring their own set of challenges, but not so much with the snow.

I drive a tankwagon hauling fuel for reefers, generators, construction equipment, trucks, etc. Pay and benefits are really good

I agree, of course it makes sense that better paying jobs are going to have fewer openings and more applications for those openings allowing the company to be more picky. That's just the nature of the beast. It reminds me of the army. I've seen Ranger tabbed and sniper qualified recon platoon grunts who consistently max the APFT and shoot 40/40 spend months straight running in the mountains everyday with a ruck full of rocks in preparation for special forces selections and end up not being selected. Are those guys losers? I would fight you if you called them that to my face or at least challenge you to a PT test to army standards. If you can't even beat me then you definitely can't touch those soldiers so if they're losers then what are you? Anyhow, those more competitive jobs are going to decline a lot of very good drivers because they can. So if Love's denied you but Pilot takes you don't let it get you down. You're probably a good driver and guess what? Your experience at Pilot will make you much more competitive for that Love's position in the future. Later you'll be the one getting selected while many other probably very qualified drivers get that rejection letter.

Oh, my apologies for my momentary dyslexia lol Well, I guess instead of complementing your bravery I'll instead complement your humble nature.

That I can accept. Too much respect for those that serve (have served) to take on a challenge like that.
