Right now it smells like rotisserie chicken lol...those are 2 Walmart DCs I haven't been to in some years. On your way down to New Albany, you'll smell my trail since I went home the other day

I was there around 14:30 for my 30. Just stopped near Ashland, KY.

I like the Houston area runs -- its a nice change of pace from DFW. I guess you'll still be taking 69/75 since you're coming from Columbia. I got routed down 55 to US-67 when I ran one from Wright City

Does anyone know if Climate will hire a small Asian lady to ride with us, who's sole purpose is to walk on our back and shoulders after days like I've had this weekend?
Had a health scare on the 4th, fought thru it, then last Tuesday it got worse and scared the hell out of me, so I took it upon myself to uber to the ER southeast of St Louie. Dispatch repowered my load and left me an empty. Got checked out, all good except for being diagnosed with a moderate-to-severe case of GERD. Dr said it's why I've felt like dog crap for the previous week or so, which has hampered my ability to drive quite a bit. Took a 34 to recover and was ready to head out Thursday morning. Problem was, I woke up at 0700 on less than 4hrs of sleep. It happens. Figured I'd get some short haul load, so wasn't too worried about it.
0900 rolls around, and Travis asks if I'm good to go. I replied 10/4, and at 10 he sent me a Hershey load going to Ogden that was already loaded and didn't deliver til 00:01-23:59 on Sunday. I thought "great! An easy good miles load I can stretch out with and not over-do it".
Plan had the usual Hershey "deliver as quickly as legally possible" bs on it, thought nothing of it cuz I've delivered several of those loads in the delivery window of the plan, and nobody has said anything to me.
Travis then sends me a message saying that the load back to Edwardsville will have been pre-loaded by the time I get there, and the customer is in a hurry for it. Ask to get the preplan for the load back so I can trip plan accordingly, and get told they don't have the info yet.
Fine, whatever. So I get to Hershey and get out of there around 12. Get to the scales and they front loaded the trailer, 34,600 on drives with tandems all the way forward (27k on the tandems). Took me almost an hour to get scaled legal enough for me not to worry about it. Rolled out of St Louie around 1, and stopped around 1900 because I was worn out. Lack of sleep does that to me. I decide that I'm going to get a full night's sleep, and end up taking a 13hr break. A common occurrence for me, and up to that point, nobody has said anything to me about it.
So I'm getting ready to start my clock at 10, and I get a phonecall from Jacob/Jason/Jared some "J" name, asking if I'm OK, and I say yeah. He then proceeds to basically berate me for taking a 13hr break-not knowing the circumstances as to why I took "such a long" break, and informs me this load need to be delivered "legally asap". Said nothing about "safely" at all. So that pissed me off quite a bit, so I've basically ran my ### off out of spite.
The 11th had a fuel stop and a 30 only, the 12th had a load/unload 30 and fuel only, and today's 687.4 miles had a 30 and fuel stop only. All with only 10hr breaks. Gonna run the last 500 miles in the morning, and I hope I can get it there without taking a 30, just to say I did. And once I drop this trailer at Hershey, I'm going to the J and going on strike til Tuesday lol.
1 month back on the road after 3 years off...my body is still not back into road shape. But apparently if you piss me off enough, my anger turns to Liquid Schwartz and fuels one helluva driver lol.

Also...can we petition to have the Wood River Pilot (exit 300 on 80 in Neb) removed from our fuel stops? That place is a flustercluck of a pita to get in and out of.

During my time at climate I never got asked why I took extended breaks. 9 times out of 10 I would be running ahead of schedule and took an extended break and no one said anything. I would have given it right back at him and say I’ll get there when I #### well please lol. Hope you’re feeling better

Hindsight being 20/20, when he asked what I was doing, I should've said "Smoking cigarettes and watching Captain Kangaroo, what are you doing?" Lol

When wood river was plugged up, I would always get fuel at either the north platte flying j or the pilot at Cheyenne. Both had been given to me previously as fuel stops on other plans so no one ever said anything about using those instead of wood river. An I would've explained your situation to Jared an would've also told him I don't appreciate being talked to that way. I don't put up with managements talk down to me BS. Never have, Never Will an i'm certainly not afraid to speak my peace.

I even got fuel at the Grand Island Pilot / old Bosselmans and at the pilot at I-29 / Hwy 2 at percival Ia before an noone said a word about it. I am not in any way shape or form gonna sit in a cluster that it gets to be at wood river for any reason.

Yeah, Friday the that Peelot at wood river was backed up, some foreigner ####### jumped the line and got stuck at a pump, and had several blocked off. I backed out of line and parked to take a 30. When I came back out of the store, he was still stuck and the line was almost to the overpass. I said eff this, and stopped at North Platte. Felt really bad cuz it was 30+ cents higher than the planned stop, so I only got 50 gallons, which I figured would be enough to get me to Ogden. In my calculations I managed to forget that 80 westbound is mostly uphill, and my fuel calculations were a bit off. So off the low fuel light came on 2 miles east of the sisters. Not wanting to run it dry, I stopped at the TA there and put $100 cash worth in the tanks. Not sure if they'll reimburse me for that cuz I couldve/should've filled up at the j, but if they don't I'll just chalk it up to a learning experience.

You can use the comdata card for emergency fuel situations like that. Just either ask dispatch permission or make sure ya let them know what ya did via the Qualcomm an direct that message to Lucas. Dude don't be spending your own cash for stuff. Yea cat scales an misc. parts maybe that aren't very expensive. Just rurn in the receipts. If it's an expensive part or mechanical fix use breakdown an comdata checks. That's what they provide you with that stuff for.
