Any Favorite Mom and Pop Truck Stop Eats?

I always stopped at Jim's when I had the Albany to Buffalo run with my former co. I also made sure to stop at Scotty's when I ran the Albany to Champlain run. Scotty's is by far one of the best Mom & Pop truck stops anywhere.

 

I remember stopping at Jimmy's many years ago when I ran from Jacksonville to Tallahassee. I haven't been on that side of I-10 in years since I retired in 2011. I'll have to make a trip there before it's too late and it closes.

Newtons post at the Pilot in Hesperia Ca. Where l-15 and junction 395 meet. Everything is HOMECOOK fresh there. There meatloaf is out of this world.

 

Was Scotty's the place just north of where 17 joined 390? They used to sell #1 and #2 separately, so it was a popular place for Canada-bound guys from down south to throw in a bunch of #1 before they gelled-up. And, yeah, that was a good restaurant as well. Last I saw, the place was closed....

 

Heaven On Earth, exit 86, i-5 Azalea, Oregon great restaurant, awesome bake shop, the sweetest owner, big truck parking area with a Johnny on the spot when they’re closed.
