Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

You couldn’t pay me to stay in an Airbnb, holiday inn express with a pool and a bar or an rv is the way to go

 

I watched a show yesterday on PBS because yes I’ve become my father. Anyway they were talking all about national parks and monuments in the south west. It made me want to get an RV and head out. I think you are on the right track. #### a truck right now.

 

I was always against the airbnb deal: however, last year she found a great place right at the base of the road going up to the cog railway for mount washington/
In general I’m not keen at staying at a strangers home: some of them places are more like a timeshare setup tho, rented about full time and have a pro cleaning service between every guest. Vs some #### hole spare bedroom with a load rag for sheets and animal hair & filth on everything.

 

I been thinking on that plan for a long time: “we’re gonna do it as a family” which sounds good but imo isn’t really a viable plan for us with the kids at the ages and positions in life they’re in at this point- and if we wait til they “can” sounds like a fairy tale plan to me.

 

Most places have a cleaning service. We stayed at a tiny house right on the river south of Riggins ID, the Meagher cabin in Virginia City MT, lots of unique places. Most places are decent and have a cleaning service that comes in. Anything rated less than about 4.5 stars I won’t even think of staying.

 

For anyone that thinks the market isn’t turning is very wrong, it can happen over night. Yesterday this load was posted for $2000 today I booked it for $10,000,000 I got him up the extra $1. This is why it pays off to sit and wait on a good load.

 

I had no plans of taking the girls with me. They have jobs, and starting college this year. Plus I don’t really want to take them.

Great advice. Some nice properties. Did a house on a lake in the U.P. last summer. Was a great time.

 

I can understand the thought process behind a net 60 or net 90. On the other hand, I’m not only floating that expense for someone, I’m at risk while operating on the daily. I’m going to need them to put some skin in the game as well. Priority at loading/unloading, first crack at future bids, inside info on upcoming projects/lanes. I’m not here to make someone’s books look good for a Q.
